I have just waved goodbye to my girls after another successful weekend which again was thoroughly enjoyed by all.

The girls arrived on Sunday which was a beautiful sunny day, everyone arrived in good time with time to relax for a while before changing for dinner.

Some of our regular girls – Denise, Martine, Julie, Melanie, Lynne and Jennifer, Tomasina and Gina soon welcomed newcomers Jayne and Alison (who were a little nervous). They were all soon relaxing and exchanging stories over a glass of wine.

Dinner was superb as usual with our chefs at Bodidris creating yet more masterpieces – the food always looks almost too good to eat.

We travelled over The Horseshoe Pass to have lunch at The Chainbridge Hotel, enjoying sitting near the river in the sunshine with lovely food.

On the way back Jennifer and Julie called at Valle Crucis Abbey near Llangollen for a look, and Denise and Lynne took a trip to The Tweed Mill near St Asaph for a bit of retail therapy calling in their favourite clothes shop in Ruthin on the way through.

On our return after lunch we sat in the garden enjoying more of the sunshine . Some of the girls then decided to play crib which if nothing else was interesting with lots of laughter and Kathy beating Melanie in the final

I’m glad to say that our tv weekends are still very popular with everyone enjoying themselves and soon booking to come again. Alison enjoyed her first visit so much that she has booked to come again in September.

I look forward to the girls visiting again in June.
